রবিউল ইসলাম রবি :: শিল্প-সংস্কৃতির পবিত্র আঙিনাকে ঢাল বানিয়ে চরম প্রতারণা, বিয়ের প্রলোভনে লালসা মেটানো এবং এক নারীর সাজানো সংসার এক লহমায় ধূলিসাৎ করে দেওয়ার এক শিউরে ওঠা সত্য উন্মোচিত হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী সামাজিক সাংস্কৃতিক সংস্থা (জাসাস) বরিশাল দক্ষিণ জেলার আহ্বায়ক এ এস এম সাব্বির নেওয়াজ সাগরের দলীয় প্রভাব ও পদের অপব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে বরিশাল শিল্পকলা একাডেমিকে কার্যত জিম্মি করে এসব অপকর্ম চালানের নানাবিধ তথ্য সামনে এসেছে। ভুক্তভোগী এক নারী গত ২৭ অক্টোবর ঢাকা শিল্পকলা একাডেমির পরিচালক ও মহাপরিচালক এবং বরিশাল জেলা প্রশাসক বরাবর ডাকযোগে অভিযোগ পাঠিয়ে এই অন্যায়ের বিচার ও কঠিন শাস্তি দাবি করেছেন।
ঘটনার সূত্রপাত বছর কয়েকে আগে বরিশাল সিটি করপোরেশন নির্বাচনের উত্তপ্ত দিনগুলোতে। নির্বাচনী প্রচারণার সুবাদে জাসাস নেতা এ এস এম সাব্বির নেওয়াজ সাগরের সঙ্গে পরিচয় হয় ভুক্তভোগী ওই নারীর। রাজনীতি পছন্দ না করায় শুরুতেই দূরত্ব বজায় রাখতে চেয়েলেও সাগরের মায়াজাল ও মিষ্টি কথার ফ্রেমে বন্দী হতে হয় তাঁকে; গান গাওয়ার সুবর্ণ সুযোগের লোভ দেখিয়ে ফুঁসলিয়ে তাঁকে টেনে আনা হয় বরিশালের সাংস্কৃতিক অঙ্গনে। এরপর নিজের ভাঙা সংসারের করুণ গল্প শুনিয়ে, অন্ধ সহানুভূতি আদায় করে গড়ে তোলা হয় এক গভীর বিশ্বাসের ভীত। আজীবন পাশে রাখার প্রতিশ্রুতি আর বিয়ের মোহিনী প্রলোভনে সরল বিশ্বাসেই গড়ে ওঠে এক নিবিড় সম্পর্ক।
তবে সেই সম্পর্কের আড়ালে লুকানো ছিল সুদূরপ্রসারী এক ভয়াল ফাঁদ। লালসার বলি বানাতে নগরীর সদর রোড এলাকার একটি ভবনে নাচের স্কুলের গোপন প্রকোষ্ঠে ডেকে নিয়ে জোরপূর্বক শারীরিক সম্পর্কে লিপ্ত হন ওই নেতা। বিয়ের প্রতিশ্রুতির ওপর ভরসা রেখে নিঃশব্দে তা মেনে নিলেও সেই নাচের স্কুলেই অপেক্ষা করছিল অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত এক বিভীষিকা।
অভিযোগে উল্লেখ থাকে, গত ১৬ আগস্ট রাতে স্থানীয় কিছু যুবক হঠাৎ ভবনটি ঘিরে ফেলে এবং অসংলগ্ন অবস্থায় তাঁদের হাতেনাতে আটক করে। পরবর্তীতে মোটা অঙ্কের অর্থ লেনদেনের বিনিময়ে কৌশলে পরিস্থিতি সামাল দেন সাগর। তবে কিছুদিন পরেই এক অপরিচিত নম্বর থেকে সেই চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনার গোপন ভিডিও ফুটেজ ভুক্তভোগীর হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে পাঠিয়ে শুরু হয় চরম মানসিক ব্ল্যাকমেল ও নির্মম হেনস্তা। আর যখনই ঘটনার সত্যতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলা হয়, অমনি সব যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন করে চতুরতার সাথে “এড়িয়ে যায়” অভিযুক্ত এই জাসাস নেতা।
নিজের কৃতকর্ম ঢাকতে এরপর শুরু হয় অপপ্রচারের আরেক বিষাক্ত অধ্যায়। বরিশাল শিল্পকলা একাডেমি ও বাংলাদেশ বেতারের আনাচে-কানাচে ভুক্তভোগী নারীর নামে মনগড়া কুৎসা ও বিষোদ্গার রটাতে শুরু করেন সাগর, যেন বলির পাঁঠা বানিয়ে সমস্ত দোষ চাপিয়ে দেওয়া যায় ভুক্তভোগীর কাঁধেই। এই কুৎসিত ও নোংরা অপপ্রচারের বিষাক্ত ছোবলে মুহূর্তেই তছনছ হয়ে যায় ওই নারীর দীর্ঘদিনের সুসংগঠিত দাম্পত্য জীবন; স্বামী থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে তিনি আজ এক চরম অনিশ্চয়তা ও মানসিক যন্ত্রণার সাগরে ভাসছেন।
রাজনৈতিক প্রভাব ও ক্ষমতার দাপটে পুরো প্রতিষ্ঠান ও কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের তটস্থ রেখে অভিযুক্ত এই জাসাস নেতা বহাল তবিয়তে পার পেয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করছেন। একজন অবলা নারীর মর্যাদা, স্বপ্ন ও সংসার ধ্বংস করে দেওয়া এই প্রভাবশালী নেতার বিরুদ্ধে আইনি বিচার নিশ্চিত করতে এখন প্রশাসনের নিরপেক্ষ ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক পদক্ষেপের প্রতীক্ষায় রয়েছে পুরো সচেতন মহল।

A Toxic Shadow Over Barishal’s Cultural Sphere: A Woman’s Life Devastated by Leader Sagar’s Lust and Deceit

A chilling truth has emerged, exposing how the sacred domain of art and culture was exploited as a shield for severe deception, illicit desires driven by false promises of marriage, and the complete destruction of a woman’s family life. Various findings have come to light revealing that A.S.M. Sabbir Newaz Sagar, Convener of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangstha (JASAS) Barishal South District, virtually held the Barishal Shilpakala Academy hostage by misusing his political clout and portfolio to carry out these misdeeds. Seeking justice and stringent punishment for this wrongdoing, the victimized woman dispatched formal written complaints via postal service on October 27 to the Director and Director General of Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Barishal.
The ordeal traces back a few years during the heated days of the Barishal City Corporation election. The victim initially met JASAS leader A.S.M. Sabbir Newaz Sagar through campaign activities. Although she preferred to keep her distance due to her aversion to politics, she eventually fell into the snare of Sagar’s sweet talk and charm; enticed by lucrative promises of singing opportunities, she was drawn into Barishal’s cultural scene. Subsequently, by narrating a somber tale of his own broken marriage, Sagar gained her deep sympathy and established a foundation of profound trust. Based on blind faith and enchanting assurances of lifelong companionship through marriage, an intimate relationship developed.
However, a far-reaching and sinister trap lay hidden behind that relationship. Driven by lust, the leader summoned her to a secretive room within a dance school located in the city’s Sadar Road area, where he forcibly engaged in a physical relationship. Though she accepted the incident in silence relying on the promise of marriage, an unexpected nightmare awaited her at the very same dance school.
According to the complaint, on the night of August 16, a group of local youths suddenly surrounded the building and caught them red-handed in a compromising position. Sagar strategically handled the situation on the spot through a large sum of monetary transaction. Shortly thereafter, an unknown number sent explicit secret video footage of that sensational incident to the victim’s WhatsApp, initiating extreme psychological blackmail and ruthless harassment. Whenever she questioned the authenticity of the incident, the accused JASAS leader shrewdly evaded accountability and severed all communications.
To cover up his own misdeeds, Sagar then embarked on another toxic chapter of defamation. He began spreading fabricated rumors and character assassination against the victim throughout the corridors of Barishal Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Betar, aiming to make her a scapegoat and pin all the blame on her shoulders. Under the venomous assault of this ugly smear campaign, the woman’s long-standing marital life was shattered in an instant; separated from her husband, she now floats in a sea of extreme uncertainty and psychological anguish.
Leveraging political influence and power to keep the entire institution, including its officials and staff, in a state of intimidation, the accused JASAS leader continues to evade accountability with impunity. Most conscious circles are now eagerly awaiting neutral and exemplary administrative action against this influential leader who ruined the dignity, dreams, and family life of a helpless woman.
